The Global Labour University (GLU) masters programme “Labour Policies & Globalisation” (LPG) started as a pilot course in Germany in October 2004. The one-year programme is part of a wider project to promote cooperation between trade unions and the research community and to strengthen the analytical and policy development capacity of trade unions.

The student intake for the programme is once a year in September. The 9th intake will start in September 2012. For students whose English language proficiencies are not sufficient, an intensive English course will be obligatory prior to the Masters Programme, beginning in mid September 2012.
