LO-TCO Biståndsnämnd

Member unions of LO or TCO apply for project funds for international trade union projects. International unions (Global Union Federations) apply through their Swedish partners. When a global union co-operates with more than one Swedish partner, one of these is responsible for the application.

Projects are financed by funding from SIDA (from Swedish tax- payers’ money), EU funds and contributions from the Swedish trade union movement.

The LO-TCO Secretariat’s task is to transfer allocations, supervise project quality and finances and assist by providing services and expertise to unions in Sweden and abroad. To make things easier, we have produced ( in collaboration with our Nordic and Dutch partners) guidelines and a project handbook on planning, follow-up and evaluation.

Project applications should cover two years; 2007-2008 is the next period for which applications can be accepted. Applications should be submitted no later than August 1 2006. Please note that applications must be presented through a Swedish LO or TCO member union.
